Preparation time: 15 minutes or less   INGREDIENTS ½ cup salt 1 cup plain flour 2 tablespoons cream of tartar 1 cup water 1 tablespoon oil Food colouring METHOD Mix all ingredients together in 1. a medium sized saucepan. 2. Stir over heat until dough is pliable. 3. Allow to cool and store in a well sealed plastic bag or container. 4. If adding food colouring you may do it in the first stage. (I added it after and kneaded it through as I wanted 4 colours) I used wax paper so I dint mess the bench and disposable gloves.  IMPORTANT NOTE: if your playdough is still sticky, you simply need to cook it longer! Keep stirring and cooking until the dough is dry and feels like playdough. I've gotten many comments asking about sticky dough, so please just keep cooking a bit longer and it will work! The pugs want to eat it!
