We have attended several Friday night dinners at the night Jar Market in Geelong.
So many great varieties of international food. really looking forward to seeing what is on offer this year. Lat year I had some amazing Pierogis (dumplings of unleavened dough – first boiled, then they are baked or fried usually in butter with onions – traditionally stuffed with potato filling, sauerkraut, ground meat, cheese, or fruit. Of central and eastern European provenance, they are usually semicircular, but are rectangular or triangular in some cuisines.) Tornado potatoes are always a favourite, the macrons and the giant pancakes!
From their website:
"The NightJar is proud to be invited by The City of Greater Geelong, to
bring their unique style into Geelong. They will be bringing Johnstone
Park alive every Friday night in February 2014, with a blend of night
market, foods from around the world, wines and boutique beer and a stage
to show off the talents of the local music scene.
Colour, sound and festive lights will fill the basin with a vibrant
life that will bring the summer nights alive for families, city workers
and visitors from all around. Kids will be entertained with the story
telling tent, the stage will be showcasing the local talents with
impressive performers from 4pm till 10pm. The food will tempt all there
with high quality foods from all over the world and local wines, sangria
and Otway beer to relax with on a summer’s night."
